MCAC GRANT INFORMATION
For Arts Programs
The Local Arts Grant Program provided by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/Department of State provides the people of the state access to quality arts experiences in their communities, making the arts an integral part of people's lives and their communities.
MCAC offers Local Arts Grant Funding to Monmouth County organizations that provide the Monmouth County public with arts events that are artistically excellent, provide public benefit and are accessible to the public.

Nonprofit arts organizations and nonprofits with arts programs for General Operating Support, General Program Support and Project Support. Technical Assistance and Mini-Grants are recommended for newly organized organizations. Programs must demonstrate artistic excellence, public benefit to the community, accessibility of the program to a wide range of participants, arts education or lifelong learning in the arts, and the ability of the organization to demonstrate accountability through grant reporting.
The MCAC Local Arts Grant Program is highly competitive. For fiscal year 2007, the MCAC awarded grants totaling $150,946.10 to 31 Monmouth County organizations that provide low cost art programs throughout the county for all ages from children to senior citizens.
MCAC is the official County Arts Agency and a private nonprofit organization dedicated to enriching the cultural life of the County by providing resources to support, inspire, and foster the growth and development of the arts. Funding is made possible through the Local Arts Program of the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/Department of State, a Partner agency of the National Endowment for the Arts.
